19. Illegal Migrants Should Be Deported
He has said that he wants to deport around 11 million undocumented immigrants to the US in the face of criticism that the idea is xenophobic and impossible due to the expense. On top of that, he does not take into account how hard it would hit the economy as many undocumented workers are doing jobs that others will not. This has been proven time and time again. To most, this is a non-starter. That isn’t to say that it won’t be attempted, or even accomplished, but it will take significant work for Trump to actually enact this large of a deportation.
On top of that, the U.S. is currently looking for ways to help immigrants quickly gain legal status in the States. What we may see, and this will make more sense a little later on on this list, is that once he realizes how important these immigrants are to the U.S., a significant change in the processing of applications. Trump is a businessman and understands the importance of a good worker. With pushes from the right people, or his own realizations, this is a very real possibility as well. This will either go down as one of his great moments, or one of his most criticized.
