Breaking Bad: 10 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

We already brought you part one of our list of 10 things you didn’t know about Breaking Bad, and now we’re back with part two! We’ve covered all sorts of interesting things – did you know that Bryan Cranston plays a voice in Power Rangers?! – and we’ve got even more shocking facts to share now! Check out five more fascinating facts about the wildly popular series that you definitely (probably) didn’t know. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Five: Some Violent Scenes Were More Real Than You Realize. In fact, Aaron Paul was knocked unconscious in one fight scene with the character of Tuco. He had to receive medical attention after the scene finished filming.

Number Four: The Meth Is Candy. Rock candy, to be exact! It’s true – in every single scene in which the show’s most hardcore drug dealers are looking at Walt’s meth like it’s candy, it’s because the “meth” is just rock candy. We wonder if they ate any of the candy after filming!

Number Three: There Is a Reason There Are 62 Episodes. You might be familiar with the fact that there are 62 episodes in the entire series of Breaking Bad. Well, what you might not know is that the 62nd element of the periodic table is Samarium. Samarium is a drug used on cancer patients to treat pain.

Number Two: Jesse Pinkman Was Almost Killed Off. And in season one, no less! Pinkman’s character, played by Aaron Paul, was supposed to be killed off by the end of the first season, but Paul is such a talented actor and impressed the executives so much that they were convinced to write a bigger role for him. Thankfully, this worked in the show’s favor.

Number One: Bryan Cranston Went Nudist on His Last Day. On the very last day of shooting for the series, Cranston pulled a pretty ridiculous prank. He decided to walk around the set completely naked, channeling his season one self when he and Jesse cooked in the RV. We hope you enjoyed our list of 10 things you didn’t know about Breaking Bad!
