Number Fifteen: She Was Pranked During the Filming of Crossroads. During a scene in Crossroads when Spears was supposed to kiss co-star Anson Mount, Mount reportedly ate some raw garlic to prank the pop star. Mount said that he had a “big spoonful” of minced garlic before the kiss. However, when Spears had no reaction to Mount’s bad breath, he asked her if she even noticed. Her response was perfect: “Oh, sweetie, I just didn’t want to hurt your feelings.”
Number Fourteen: She and Justin Timberlake Bought Matching Toilet Seats. For the hefty price of $21,000, Spears and fellow Mouseketeer Justin Timberlake bought custom-made toilet seats with each other’s faces on them to commemorate their newfound fame in 2002. The purchase became part of the couple’s Beverly Hill mansion.
Number Thirteen: She Went on Tour With a Glass of Orange Juice. Spears was drinking a glass of orange juice during an interview in Germany and decided she couldn’t finish it. After the interview was over, the host of the show took the glass on a “tour” all around Germany. The tour ended when the host gave the orange juice to a deserving fan.
Number Twelve: She Was Messy Growing Up. On more than one occasion, Spears has nearly burnt down her home, which was apparently a result of her love for candles. She also wrecked a Lexus belonging to her mom, Lynne Spears, in high school.
Number Eleven: She Has More Than One Psychic. Though it’s unclear whether or not this is still true, at one point Spears was using her psychics to make home purchases. In an interview she did with Elle, Spears said that she chose her new bed based on what one of her psychics told her.
Number Ten: She’s Cursed on Stage Before. In 2001, Spears didn’t realize the microphone was still on and cursed out the stage crew in front of a live audience. She was just 19 at the time, but the moment is still pretty cringeworthy.
Number Nine: She Got Stood Up by Prince William. In 2002, when Spears was 20 and Prince William was 19, they began emailing each other and set a date to meet up. However, Prince William blew her off, which she admitted in an interview with Britain’s Frank Skinner Show.
