Calvin Harris, the famous DJ and producer from Scotland. We already brought you part one of this list of facts about him, where we told you of his modest beginnings recording music in his bedroom. Here is part two of the list.

Number Eight: Football (Soccer) Dreams

Before he decided to become a producer and pursue music as his main focus, young Calvin harbored quite different dreams. He wanted to play soccer, or as they call it in the UK, football.

Number Seven: Calvin Harris Lied About Losing His Laptop

He was working on an album in 2008, and claimed to lose his bag at the London airport, which contained the only copy of the album. He later confessed that he didn’t actually lose the copy, but just needed some extra time to work on it.

Number Six: Commercial Success

Calvin’s music has been featured far and wide, and this includes the world of advertising. His productions can be heard in TV ads for Coca Cola and Pepsi.

Number Five: He Cancelled on Katy Perry

Back in 2011, he was scheduled to open for the pop sensation, and backed out due to problems with Perry’s management, right before the show. She got upset and blasted him on Twitter as a result.

Number Four: YouTube Series

Harris hosted some videos on YouTube called JAM TV where he showed musicians trying to open jars of jam. He deleted these from the internet, leading us to wonder why.

Number Three: Plagiarism Accusations

Calvin and Chris Brown had a feud when Brown released a song that sounded suspiciously like a song of Calvin’s. Harris complained about it over Twitter, saying it was more entertaining to do it in public. The two are reportedly friends now, though.

Number Two: He Claims He is Done Singing

Although he has done a fair amount of vocal work, he says he’s done with that. His reason is that he likes behind behind the scenes instead of out front.

Number One: Record Breaker
