Number Eight: She Was Cinderella. In 2014, Jepsen played the lead role of Cinderella in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Broadway. She was Cinderella for 12 weeks and even got to star alongside Fran Drescher.

Number Seven: She Recorded the Theme Song to Netflix’s Full House Follow-Up. Netflix plans to release a sequel to the iconic show Full House in February of 2016. Jepsen recorded the theme song! The series will be called Fuller House.

Number Six: She Has a Diverse Set of Influences. Jepsen says that she was raised surrounded by folk music, and she has been greatly influenced by Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, and James Taylor. These artists all influenced her debut album.

Number Five: She Was Part of a Boy Scouts Controversy. Jepsen was slated to perform at the Boy Scouts of America 2013 National Scout Jamboree, but because of the Boy Scouts’ controversial views on homosexuality, she chose not to perform. She released a statement that said, “As an artist who believe in equality for all people, I will not be participating in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer.”

Number Four: She Got a Lot of Help From Justin Bieber. Bieber gets a lot of flack for being selfish, but Jepsen rose to fame in the way she did in part thanks to him! Number Two: She Likes Traveling Alone. Jepsen says that she enjoys working independently, and traveling solo allows her to do that.

Number One: She Prefers a LBS to an LBD. Though many women aspire to own the perfect Little Black Dress, or LBD, Jepsen prefers her little black skirt – or leather black skirt. She says that she takes her prized leather miniskirt by Moschino with her everywhere, even if she doesn’t wear it very often.
