CeeLo Green is one of the funkiest and sassiest musicians in the industry right now. The talented singer, rapper, and record producer has churned out several big hits in the past few years. Number Fifteen: He Has a Pink Cockatoo. And that cockatoo has caused some controversy! Green was a judge on the second season of The Voice, and he brought in a pink cockatoo named Lady. However, some animal rights activists thought that having a cockatoo around so many people and lights was stressing it out, and they thought it was inhumane.
Number Fourteen: He Earned His Acting Chops. Green was featured alongside William H. Macy and Ben Stiller in the 1999 comedy, Mystery Men. However, Green was in full costume in the movie, so you may not have recognized him at the time.
Number Thirteen: You Have Probably Heard Him on Adult Swim. Have you seen The Brak Show? Well, in 2002, Green played “Prime Cut” on the show. He has also played numerous different characters on Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken. Finally, he played the character of Reverend Rollo Goodlove on Adult Swim’s The Boondocks.
Number Twelve: You May Have Also Seen Him on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16. Green was featured for the sake of his stepdaughter, Sierra. Though Sierra was turning 15, not 16, he still went all out for her birthday, and Bow Wow even made an appearance.
Number Eleven: He Is a Grandpa. Green is 41 years old, but he’s already been a grandfather for five years! His stepdaughter – the same one on My Super Sweet 16 – gave birth to a son in 2010.
Number Ten: He Caused a Stir at a Fundraiser. Green as at a campaign fundraiser for Obama, and he was slated to perform. However, before he started, he asked the crowd if he could curse, but before they had the chance to respond, he began singing his song, “F*** You.”
Number Nine: He Is Also a Successful Entrepreneur. In 2012, Green was named one of Fast Company’s Top 100 Most Creative People in Business. He was even featured on the cover!
