I would imagine celebrities hate when old photos of them surface on the Internet- especially photos during those terrible puberty years. Well, I guess that’s the price of fame. Here are 12 pictures of celebrities before they made it big, and some of them are a little more awkward than you might expect.
Number One: Brad Pitt. I must admit, Pitt actually looks like a future star in his high school photo. I wouldn’t doubt if he was one of the “cool kids” in school- the type of guy all of the girls wanted.
Number Two: Beyoncé. This is a really pretty picture of Beyoncé. She probably told the kids in her class that she was going to be a pop superstar when she grew up, and I bet they all rolled their eyes. Well, look at her now!
Number Three: Bruce Willis. Bruce Willis looks like he was the president of the thespian society. His long wavy hair is a far cry from the shaved look he rocks now.
Number Four: Charlize Theron. I bet anyone who ever teased Charlize Theron in high school is kicking themselves. I’m sure if she wore a more fitting pair of glasses, she would have looked a whole lot better. I can still see her beauty through those glasses.
Number Five: Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga was born this way! She looks like the girl who loved to have fun and hang out with her girlfriends. She was probably a badass back then, and she is still a badass today.
Number Six: 50 Cent. It’s amazing how sweet and innocent 50 Cent looks. Who knew he would grow up to be such a notorious rapper? He’s quite the business man as well.
Number Seven: Ryan Seacrest. May this picture be a lesson to the kids. You may be the cute chubby student in middle school, but you may grow up to be one of the most-desirable bachelors in Hollywood.
Number Eight: Russell Brand. Funny man Russell Brand definitely doesn’t look like this anymore. He dropped a few pounds, grew out his hair, and managed to marry a pop star. He and Katy Perry may not be married anymore, but he still was able to marry a very stunning woman.
Number Nine: Will Ferrell. I will assume Will Ferrell was the class clown back in the day. This prom photo is hilarious! That princess crown on his head is “laugh out loud” humor. There’s no wonder how he became one of the top comedians in showbiz.
Number Ten: John Mayer. Mayer looks rather studious in this picture. He was either the class president or a member of the Glee club. Either way, he looks pretty handsome.
Number Eleven: Nelly Furtado. It appears Nelly Furtado was attempting to make a fashion statement in this photo, but I’m not sure if her point was well taken. I think she was still trying to find her identity, and I’m glad she finally figured it out.
Number Twelve: Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy’s looks haven’t changed too much since his high school days. I’m not sure if he was a ladies man, but I’m sure he had several girls chasing after him. I can tell just by looking at this photo that Murphy was the kid who always made people laugh.
