Channing Tatum: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

The Channing Tatum basics were covered in part one: his family, his education, his past jobs (real-life stripping!). In part two, we’ll get even more in depth, with some information about the actor and dancer that will surely come as a surprise.

Number Eight: He Had a Fairy-Themed Wedding. Channing and his wife Jenna Dewan – who met when they acted together in Step Up – were married in a ceremony dedicated to fairies. On top of their cake were little fairy versions of the two of them.

Number Seven: He Was an Extra In a Ricky Martin Video. Remember “She Bangs?” Channing Tatum was a dancer in the video way before America knew who he was. This is clear by the sum he paid for the gig: $400.

Number Six: He is Afraid of Singing. Between his acting and his dancing, one would think he would be the perfect candidate to perform in a musical. But it’s his fear of his own singing voice that prevents him from being a triple threat.

Number Five: He Owns a Restaurant in New Orleans. He is a co-owner of the restaurant/bar Saints & Sinners in The Big Easy. The other owner? His wife, Jenna Dewan.

Number Four: He’s Honest About His Past Work. He has stated that he hates G.I Joe and that he was suggested the movie even though he didn’t want to perform in it from the start. You would think he no longer has that problem considering where his career has gone.

Number Three: He’s Deathly Afraid of Porcelain Dolls. He made the mistake of telling this little tidbit to Ellen DeGeneres, who then made him pay for his openness by forcing him to confront some porcelain dolls on television.

Number Two: He Has a Two Year Old Daughter. His daughter, with his wife Jenna, is named Everly Elizabeth Maiselle Tatum. She was born on May 31, 2013 when Tatum was 33 years old.

Number One: His Favorite Place in the World is… Alabama. Or at least a little bit of it. His uncle owns a ranch in Wetumpka, Alabama. Tatum has said that the place helps ground him and remind him of his roots.
