Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and Audioslave) is releasing a new solo album entitled Higher Truth. The rocker revealed the project will drop on September 18th, and it will be produced by Brendan O’Brien. There hasn’t been more information regarding Higher Truth, besides the fact that he will embark on a tour across North America, in order to promote his solo project. On September 20th, Cornell will perform in Los Angeles at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

As a solo artist, Cornell has released three studio albums including Euphoria Morning, Carry On, and Scream. Scream was dropped six years ago, and it features the singles “Long Gone,” “Watch Out,” “Ground Zero,” “Scream,” and “Part of Me.” As the frontman of Soundgarden, the rocker has dropped six studio projects. The band’s King Animal album was released in 2012. The album reached Number 5 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, and it impacted the albums chart in Greece, Italy, Poland, and the UK. Soundgarden have sold over 20 million albums worldwide, and over 5 million in the US. Perhaps the band’s most successful single is the Grammy-winning song “Black Hole Sun,” which topped the US Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts. Next month, the Soundgarden lead singer will join his band for a performance atOntario’s Big Music Festival on the 11th.
