Christina Aguilera hasn’t toured since 2008. That’s ten full years – are you surprised? In some ways, it hasn’t felt like that long since Xtina toured. This is largely because her frequent appearances on NBC’s The Voice made her a weekly presence in many households. But Christina is done with The Voice and is returning to the tour grind, this time in support of her new album, Liberation, which is out on June 15, 2018. Aguilera made headlines earlier this week by saying the TV show had too many rules for her to follow, and that it wasn’t about the music. (Music fans agree!)
It’s hard to know what to expect from an Aguilera tour this time around. From 2006 to 2008, she was on a worldwide Back to Basics tour, and it was huge. Just two years later she was scheduled to return to the road for The Bionic tour in support of the album of the same name. However, the tour was called off and never rescheduled. At the time, Aguilera was focusing on acting and was hitting the publicity circuit for Burlesque, which turned into a massive flop.
Music has changed a lot in the ten years Aguilera has been away from the tour life, but she hasn’t been out of the musical loop. In addition to The Voice, she’s collaborated with some of the biggest acts in music, like Maroon 5. The first single from the album, “Accelerate,” is out now, featuring Ty Dolla Sign and 2 Chainz. It was also produced by Kanye West, Che Pope and Mike Dean.
This is the complete list of tour dates for the upcoming Aguilera tour. Tickets are officially on sale May 18.

Liberation is produced by RCA. The 37 year old mother of two may be trying some new looks for her tour. The singer posted some promotional shots to Instagram in black and white, showing her with new makeup looks and new bangs. This may again be the influence of The Voice – she told the media that tapings left her drained, retreating to her house where she would listen to Nirvana and Slayer to rid herself of the plasticity of TV. Augilera also posed for the cover of Paste Magazine without makeup, where she revealed she was over the very heavy made-up look that characterized her image for so long. Now she’s showing her freckles, so fans can expect a whole new side to the singer.
