Demi Lovato: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)

Demi Lovato has risen to fame over the past few years, but she has been in the spotlight her entire life. Despite the fact that the star, whose album, Confident, dropped this year, has spent so much time in the spotlight, there are still some things that most people don’t know about her. Number Fifteen: Her Middle Name Is Devonne. And her first name is actually “Demetria.” She gets her first name from a shortening of “Demetria” to “Demi,” and she used her middle name to name her skin care line, Devonne.

Number Fourteen: She Is a Wilhelmina Model. And, according to Lovato, she is extremely excited. She said, “I’m thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina. I’m very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist.”

Number Thirteen: She Likes to Give Back. Lovato is a huge advocate for mental health. She even started a campaign with five organizations that she called, “Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health.” She also began an annual fundraiser that is designed to raise money for mental health awareness.

Number Twelve: She Was on Barney as a Child. Lovato played the character of Angela on the popular series Barney & Friends. This was actually how she met fellow superstar Selena Gomez!

Number Eleven: She Has an Empowering Pre-Show Ritual. At the 2015 VMA’s, Lovato’s mic accidentally turned on before she went on. The mic picked up her reciting the line, “I am enough.” Yes you are, Demi!

Number Ten: She Love Animals. Lovato has a white puppy that she named Batman. She received the puppy as a gift for her 23rd birthday.

Number Nine: She Is Inspired by Beyonce. Lovato admitted that she was inspired by Beyonce’s effort to make a music video for every single song on her album. Beyonce also inspired her Neon Lights tour in 2014.
