When two men were wandering around in the desert, they never expected to come across a situation that would change their lives forever. Stuck in between some boulders was a majestic creature and these men knew they would have to act fast if they were going to save its life.
20. Wanderers
Two men in the city of Aktau in southwestern Kazakhstan were wandering off in the desert. It was just a regular day and the men weren’t expecting anything out of the ordinary to occur.
19. Hilly Area
The men were walking around in a particularly remote and hilly area when they caught sight of something unusual. At first, the men didn’t really think much about it. After all, being out in the desert can play some tricks on your eyes.
18. Movement
However, soon it became apparent that something was obviously moving around where the boulders were. At that point, the men knew that they couldn’t ignore whatever it was. Their curiosity had officially been piqued.
17. Checking It Out
The men decided that their best bet would be to walk over to where the movement was happening. They began to proceed over to the boulder and soon realized something awful. There was an animal trapped between two boulders!
16. Trapped
There, stuck between two boulders, was a beautiful and majestic horse. The movement they had seen was the horse attempting to break free. However, there was something even more shocking about the situation.
15. Upside Down
Not only was the horse trapped, but he was trapped in the most terrible way. The horse was upside down and in between the two boulders. It was an upsetting sight to stumble upon.
14. Legs Up
The horse’s legs were up in the air and dangling off the sides of the boulder. In fact, it was the horse’s feet that immediately alerted the men to the situation. They were horrified and knew they had to help!
13. Helping Out
The men knew that in a situation like this time was of the essence. They knew that they couldn’t just leave the poor horse there to die. They quickly sprung into action and figured out what to do.
12. A Plan
The two men knew that there was no way they could move the boulder on their own. The boulders were way too large and it would be impossible. So, they thought of a genius plan instead!
11. A Car
The men had traveled to this remote area of the desert by car and so they thought, why not use the car to help move the boulders? But, how would they accomplish this? Well, it seems they had just the right tools for the task!
10. A Band
The first thing the men did was wrap a band around one of the boulders and then attach the band onto the car. This way they could use the car to pull the boulder.
9. Moving It
While one man was in the car, using the car’s strength to move the boulders, the other one stood outside. Once the boulder had been dislodged enough, the man outside of the car began to push it off of the horse carefully.
8. Pushing Down
The man began to slowly dislodge the boulder and move it away from the horse. He wanted to do it gently in order to avoid injuring the horse any further. So was the man able to move the boulder off completely?
7. Removal
Finally, the man was able to completely remove the boulder out of place. The boulder then fell onto the ground and gave the horse adequate space to get up and move around. However, at first, the horse didn’t move at all.
6. Worried
The man quickly grew worried as the horse didn’t move. He began to assume that maybe the horse was more injured than he had expected. Then, the horse suddenly turned over onto his legs!
5. Leg Power
The horse suddenly turned and was back on his legs. It was a stunning sight to see after having seen the horse trapped in between the boulders for so long. At first, it took a few seconds for the horse to regain his strength.
4. Standing Tall
Finally, the horse stood tall and proud after being removed from the boulders. The horse seemed very shocked and happy to finally be free once again.
3. Guide
At the end of the video that the men filmed, you can see the man walking over to help guide the horse out of the area. After all, the horse would probably be very disoriented after being upside down for such a long time.
2. Uploaded
The video footage of the rescue was eventually uploaded onto YouTube where it became a viral sensation. Everyone was so happy to see two men work together to help out a creature that was desperately in need of assistance.
