The iHeartRadio Music Festival just got a Bad Boy. Diddy, aka Puff Daddy, is returning to the music scene in a big way. The entertainment mogul has just been added to the roster of acts that will be appearing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. The annual festival will be taking place in Paradise, Nevada at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino on both September 18 and 19. Diddy joins performers such as, Kanye West, Coldplay, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith and Nick Jonas.
This marks Diddy’s first appearance at the festival and the entertainment vet is more than happy to be back in the spotlight and performing for his fans. “Puff Daddy is back, and I am bringing everything I have to the iHeartRadio Music Festival,” Diddy said in a statement. “Music is everything to me – it’s a blessing to make music. I’m excited to be a part of such a great lineup and I can’t wait to make everyone want to get up and dance.”
After spending several years behind the scenes, Diddy recently released a new single. The funky retro song is called “Finna Get Loose” and also features super-producer Pharrell Williams. The song was released on June 29, 2015 and made its way to No. 44 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in its first week. Diddy’s position on the chart signified his first appearance as a lead artist in 15 years. The music video for “Finna Get Loose” is currently only available via Apple Music.
The complete roster of acts for this year’s festival, so far, includes: Hozier, Jason Derulo, David Guetta, Duran Duran, Prince Royce, Lil Wayne, Fall Out Boy, Disclosure, Kenny Chesney, The Weeknd, Trey Songz, The Killers, Tove Lo, Diplo, Blake Shelton, and Janet Jackson. The iHeartRadio Music Festival is a two-day event that has been held every September since 2011 by iHeartRadio.
The iHeartRadio Music Festival will broadcast live on iHeartMedia radio stations across the nation. The festival will also stream on Yahoo Live on both nights at 7:30 p.m. PST. Fans will also be able to see the entire festival when it airs as a two-night special event on the CW Network on Sept. 29 and 30.
