We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about DMX, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the rapper and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: He Is a Christian. DMX reportedly reads the Bible every single day, and when he went to prison, he said that he had a message. He said, “I came [to prison] to meet somebody…Don’t know who it was, but I’ll know when I see him. And I came here to give him a message. And that message is Jesus loves them.”

Number Seven: He Has 12 Children. DMX was married to Tashera Simmons for 12 years, and they got married in 1999. However, he had several affairs when he was married, and as a result, he has 12 children, not all of which were with Simmons.

Number Six: He Is Bipolar. In an interview, DMX admitted that he suffers from bipolar disorder, which may explain some of his more erratic and strange behavior at times.

Number Five: He Has Been Arrested for Many Things. DMX has a long and sordid history with the law. Some of the many reasons he has been arrested include reckless driving, animal cruelty, drug possession, and identity falsification.

Number Four: He Was Once Arrested for Using Foul Language. In 2003, DMX was reportedly arrested for using foul language at a concert. He had supposedly signed a contract stating that he would not use foul language at the show, and he broke the contract and was arrested.

Number Three: He Is a Published Author. In 2003, DMX published E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX. The book is a document of his memoirs.

Number Two: He Was on a Reality TV Show. Is there anything this man can’t do? In 2006, DMX starred in DMX: Soul of a Man. The show was a reality show that aired on BET.

Number One: He Is in a Video Game. You can find DMX in the 2003 game Def Jam Vendetta. In the game, he plays himself because he is just that cool.
