Ed Sheeran: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Ed Sheeran, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more interesting details about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: He Gave Harry Styles a Tattoo. Sheeran put some ink on the One Direction member that pictures a padlock. And that’s not the only way the two are connected – Sheeran wrote “Little Things” for One Direction.

Number Seven: The Story Behind His Song “Small Bump” Is True. The song is about two of his friends losing a child together, and Sheeran wrote it from the perspective of being a parent. The song is both sensitive and emotional.

Number Six: He Has a Nando’s Black Card. For those who don’t know, Nando’s is one of the U.K.’s most popular fast food chains, and Sheeran has a black card, which gets him free Nando’s. However, he has said that he doesn’t take full advantage of it and doesn’t like to overdo it when he eats.

Number Five: He Likes Stubble. Sheeran can often be seen rocking some stubble, but do you know why he likes it so much? Well, it’s because he has said that he looks like he’s 12 years old when he shaves. Considering he has such a baby face, we’re guessing he’s right.

Number Four: He Has a Lot of Tattoos. He has said that he’s got “over a hundred” tattoos, and while he may not have quite that many, he definitely has a lot. He even has a section of Van Gogh’s Starry Night inked on his body.

Number Three: He Has Synesthesia. Sheeran has a mild form of synesthesia, which is a condition that causes people to experience the world in a blending of the senses – for example, some people can hear colors. Sheeran has said that he sees his song in colors.

Number Two: He Once Spent $7,000 on a Guitar. Sheeran admitted that the most he ever spent on a guitar was $7,000 which he spent on a 1907 Martin guitar.

Number One: He Hates Kale. It’s true! The superfood everyone keeps going on about is one that Sheeran thinks really should not exist.
