With that in mind, here we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about Ellie Goulding. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: She Taught Herself How to Play the Guitar. When Goulding was just 14 years old, she was able to teach herself how to play the guitar. She knew, even then, that she wanted to be a rock star. She said, “I played electric when I first started, and then I decided that I wanted to play acoustic…”

Number Fourteen: She Used to Play the Clarinet. Goulding is actually a very skilled clarinet player. However, she has admitted that she does not find playing the clarinet to be very much fun unless she was part of an orchestra or playing with another clarinet player.

Number Thirteen: She Is Also an Excellent Whistler. Did you know that Goulding even whistles on her album? She is a self-proclaimed expert at whistling but is admittedly shy about doing it in public.

Number Twelve: She Is a Natural Redhead. Goulding posted an Instagram of herself with freckles all over her face, and the caption read, “These freckles are really giving me away #secretredhead.” She says that her natural hair color is somewhere between brown and red.

Number Eleven: She Loves to Run. Goulding has said that she used to run a lot when she was younger, and she even said she has done five half marathons! Her fastest half marathon time is one hour and 41 minutes.

Number Ten: She Is Ambidextrous. However, she admits that she uses her right hand more often than she uses her left. She said, “I can write with both hands, but I’m kind of losing it a little bit. I need to get back into it, the right hand.”

Number Nine: She Is “Addicted” to Cheese. In an interview Goulding did with Us magazine, she admitted that she is addicted to cheese. We can’t blame her!
