Chances are you’ve seen Emma Roberts act recently. Roberts has quietly but quickly burst onto the scene and is becoming one of the most up-and-coming actors to watch. However, despite the fact that Roberts has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. Number Fifteen: She Is James Franco’s Muse. Roberts starred in Franco’s 2013 film titled Palo Alto, where she played a soccer player named April. In the film, her character and her coach, played by Franco, begin a relationship.
Number Fourteen: She Has a Famous Aunt. In fact, Roberts’ aunt is the incredibly Julia Roberts! Maybe that’s where she gets that great smile.
Number Thirteen: She Was Arrested for Domestic Violence. Roberts was arrested for domestic violence against her own boyfriend, Evan Peters. The two met on the set of Adult World and reunited on screen as part of American Horror Story: Coven. However, in 2013, someone heard the couple fighting in a hotel room, and Roberts was arrested after Peters was found with a bloody nose and a bite mark on him.
Number Twelve: She Dropped Out of College. Roberts began attending Sarah Lawrence College in 2011, but after just one semester, she wanted to focus on her work and decided she could not both work and be in college. She later said that she did not regret her decision.
Number Eleven: She Played a Cocaine Smuggler’s Daughter. Roberts’ first role was as a cocaine smuggler’s daughter in the 2001’s hit film Blow. She plays the daughter of Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz. She was nine years old when she played the memorable role.
Number Ten: Talent Runs in Her Family. Roberts’ father is the actor Eric Roberts, and she is the step-daughter of musician Kelly Nickels as well. Her paternal grandmother was even the acting coach Betty Lou Bredemus. And, as we already mentioned, her aunt is Julia Roberts.
Number Nine: She Has a Music Career. Roberts’ debut album went along with her first hit television show, Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous. The album was called Unfabulous and More, and it peaked at number 46 on Billboard‘s Top Heatseekers chart.
