Floyd is a Great Dane that absolutely adores his family. When Floyd was only a year old, however, he made a huge discovery. This discovery blew him away!
19. The Discovery
The family happened to have a huge throw blanket that they would place over their couch. Floyd absolutely fell in love with it and soon began stealing it every chance he got. The throw blanket no longer belonged to the couch.
18. Giving Up
Floyd refused to give up on the blanket so eventually the family just folded. They let him keep it for good and from that moment everything changed…

Floyd is now 2-years-old and is still very much in love with his blanket! In fact, he carries it around with him everywhere. The family can’t believe just how dedicated he is.

Floyd is a very energetic and fun-loving pup, however, he still hasn’t been able to let go of the comfort and security that he gets from the blanket. Since Floyd is also enormous, he has managed to rip the blanket a few times as he carries it around.

“He’s gone through quite a few,” Emily, Floyd’s mom, told The Dodo. “They get pretty torn up after a few months and now I keep extras. He also has one in the car, and another one at my boyfriend’s house for when we visit.”

Floyd doesn’t do anything without his blanket by his side either. Whether he’s just relaxing around the house or going out to play, he makes sure that his blanket is by side at all times.
11. Carrying Around
No matter where Floyd goes, he and his blanket are a packaged deal! “He carries them around the house — he’ll take it upstairs at night when we go to bed and bring it back down in the morning,” Emily said.

However, the family hasn’t been too fond of him taking the blankets outdoors. “He sometimes tries to drag them outside too, but I’ve trained him to leave them at the door until he comes back in.”

To this day, the family has no idea as to why Floyd is so obsessed with his blankets. At this point, it has just become a big part of who he is.

When Floyd’s owners describe him, they often remark on how soft and cuddly he is. His personality is just like his blankets and the family couldn’t love him any more than they already do.

The family loves Floyd so much that they have no problem with supplying him with as many blankets as he’ll need. “He is a sweetheart who has no idea how big he is,” Emily said. “He loves to cuddle and sits on your lap if he can. A gentle giant in every way.”

Emily recently decided to make a post on Reddit about her sweet dog. The post was titled: “My great dane drags a blanket everywhere he goes.” The post was also accompanied by a video of Floyd walking down the stairs with his blanket.

Everyone on Reddit had so many questions for Emily about Floyd and his blanket obsession. One of the most burning questions however was: “Does he ever trip on it?” To which Emily replied, “Yeah, and then it starts to rip because he’s standing on it and trying to pull it at the same time. He’s pretty careful on the stairs though.”

Many users were starting to draw comparisons between Floyd and an incredibly popular Charlie Brown cartoon character, Linus, who carries his blanket with him everywhere he goes. “Please tell me his name is Linus,” one user wrote.
