Ever been to a summer camp with Jared Leto?  What about Shannon Leto or Tomo Miličevic?  No?  Well here’s your chance.  Thirty Seconds to Mars is inviting you to join them for a three day two night summer camp with the band in Malibu, California later this August.  Camp Mars, which begins August 22 and runs to August 24th, will feature two live performances by the band as well as dj sets and guest speakers.  The camp also offers typical summer camp activities such as: hiking, yoga, cooking classes, climbing, campfire singalongs, raising the flag, s’mores, tug of war, ghost stories, and many others.  Guests can choose between several packages ranging from the Tree Huggin’ Package (bring your own tent) to the Red Hawk Package (guaranteed stay in a semi private cabin or dorm style room) and even includes packages to accommodate visitors who would prefer to hang out with the campers while still getting to sleep in their own beds.  Day packages range from $399 to $549 and include the many of the same perks as the weekenders.  The camp is a first come first serve event, with only five hundred and fifty weekend passes and limited day passes, with tickets going on sale this Friday.  Jared Leto, the band’s frontman, explained the band’s reasoning behind the summer camp, “We have always looked to do things for our audience that are fun and unique.  What better way to celebrate the summer than in beautiful Southern California with the Mars family in full.”

Since the band’s formation they have went on to sell over fifteen million albums and have won several awards including a Billboard Music Award, six Kerrang! Awards, and three MTV Video Music Awards.  Each of Thirty Seconds to Mars’ albums have enjoyed either gold, silver, or platinum status, with three of the four, receiving certification in several countries, as well as charting on U.S. Billboard 200.

Jared Leto, who co-founded Thirty Seconds to Mars with his brother Shannon in 1998, is set to star as the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.  The movie is set to have a 2016 release date and also stars Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, Margot Robbie, and Viola Davis.
