GTA: 15 Things You Definitely Didn’t Know (Part 1)

GTA, or Grand Theft Auto, is one of the most popular games for people to play all over the world. However, despite the fact that the game has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. With that in mind, here we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about GTA. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: Someone Beat Vice City in Less Than an Hour

It might sound impossible, but it’s been done. A user named “Fil_maj_rasz” beat GTA’s Vice City in 57 minutes and 29 seconds.

Number Fourteen: The ‘F’ and ‘C’ Words Are Used More Than 1,000 Times in GTA V

It’s no secret that GTA isn’t for young kids or the faint of heart, but in GTA V, there are more than 1,000 different uses of the “f” and “c” words. That’s some kind of impressive.

Number Thirteen: Only Two Children Can Be Found Throughout the Series

It’s true! The game isn’t made for children, and the game’s characters certainly reflect that. There are only two child-aged characters in the entire series. One is a baby named Mary-Beth Williams who is featured in Vice City, and another is a 13-year-old girl named Jill Von Crastenburg.

Number Twelve: Lamar Was Supposed to Replace Franklin

In Grand Theft Auto V, it was discovered that if a player chose the canon ending C in the final mission, Franklin was supposed to die. This would result in him being replaced by Lamar for the rest of the gameplay. However, this didn’t end up happening in the version that was released.

Number Eleven: Niko Bellic Isn’t an Original Character

In fact, he’s based on the character of the henchman Sasha from Behind Enemy Lines. The video game series is known for incorporating pop culture into its gameplay.

Number Ten: Since GTA III, Every Core Game Has Been Delayed

The company tends to announce the release of new games far before the game is actually released. Since Grand Theft Auto III, every initial release date of the core games has been pushed back.

Number Nine: Each GTA V Character Represents a Type of Person Who Plays the Game

Every single character in Grand Theft Auto V is designed to represent the people playing it. For example, Franklin is an ambitious person who wants to get rich, similar to players who seek as many missions to make as much money as possible. Trevor, on the other hand, is an insane and incredibly destructive person, similar to players who play just so they can needlessly destroy the environment.
