In the mystic video for “Brym Al Mar” by HANNAH, we are taken away to a faraway land with a mesmerizing blend of colors and textures. It all begins with a series of brief clips: a sleeping girl, a splash of waves on the beach, and a glittering mask. Many masked faces seem to be watching her sleep, and she wakes up in a blur, clutching a bronze chain around her neck. As soon as she rolls over, we find her on the beach in a long white dress. She moves fluidly on the rocks against the backdrop of rolling waves, and reaches down to pick up a violin. Praising the purple sky with it, she makes a stage for herself on the rocky peak and begins to play. Her performance is splashed with a mysterious image, in which fingers make knots in a piece of white string. Almost in response, she jumps into the ocean and dances underwater for the sparkling masked creatures. She emerges, and her music grows ferocious as she plays next to an intense fire on the beach. As she weaves her song, the creatures continue to weave their web of white string. She is soon under their spell again, and falls back into the same exact sleeping position we first discovered her in.
