During a concert last night at Ft. Lauderdale’s Revolution Live, an angry concert goer threw a bottle of beer at Lil Wayne. Wayne, who was performing tracks off his Sorry 4 the Wait 2 mixtape, was none too happy about the incident. He called out the heckler saying, “Before I get started, somebody threw a motherf***in’ beer at me. I know it ain’t nothing but a motherf***in’ white boy, ‘cause n****s don’t drink no f***in’ beer.” An audience member then decided to take matters into his own hands and knocked the alleged heckler out.
Wayne, who founded his own imprint, Young Money Entertainment, in 2005, has been trying his luck as an author. The Grammy award-winning rapper not only has written a book titled, Gone Till November, which chronicles the eight months he was incarcerated in Rikers Island, but is also writing a tell-all book, which includes details about the time Drake allegedly visited him while he was in prison to tell him that he’d slept with his then girlfriend, model and video vixen Tammy Torres. The book has no set release date but is said to be receiving quite a bit of interest from several publishers.
Wayne’s career began when he signed on to Cash Money Records at the age of nine, becoming the youngest artist to be signed by the label. He has since went on to release twelve albums, several of them earning gold and/or platinum status. His sixth album, The Carter II, is his most successful to date, selling over a million copies its first week and spawning the five-time platinum single, “Lollipop.”
Wayne has also collaborated with several big musicians including Juvenile, Destiny’s Child, Robin Thicke, Birdman (whom he later went on to sue), Chris Brown, Fat Joe, Ludacris, and many more. Besides his many collaborations Wayne has been in several television and film roles including Hurricane Season, Freaknik: The Musical, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Wayne has also went on to pass Elvis Presley’s record as male artist with the most entries on Billboard Hot 100, with a whopping one hundred and nine songs.
