Iggy Azalea and Nick Young are engaged! The rapper flaunted her beautiful engagement ring on Instagram last night, and Young posted a photo of the happy couple sharing a kiss while Azalea’s shining new diamonds were impossible to overlook. The Los Angeles Lakers guard popped the question to Azalea at his 30th birthday celebration. “Happy 30th to my old man Nick! I’ll save the really mushy stuff for inside your birthday card that way you can blackmail me with it later. For now it’s just a simple: I loooove you, I’d do anything for you. Glad you exist etc. etc. Ps. If we get old together don’t die before me (Jk),” Azalea wrote on social media. There isn’t too much of an age difference between Azalea and Young, the rapper will turn 25 years old on June 7th.
Azalea recently cancelled her Great Escape Tour, and the reason for the cancellation hasn’t been revealed, until today. “I’ve had a different creative change of heart. I want to start totally anew, and if I stayed on my tour, that would mean I would not even be able to start working on that until after Christmas,’ the rapper told Seventeen magazine. Azalea also revealed the other reason for the sudden cancellation was exhaustion. “On top of that, mentally, to be honest with you, I just feel I deserve a break. I’ve been going non-stop for the past two years, nearly every single day,” she explained. Azalea added,”I’m not in a bad place. I think sometimes when you say you need a mental break, people are like, ‘A mental break? Be sure you don’t have a breakdown because you’re sad.’ No, not necessarily.” The rapper admits that her hectic schedule has been emotionally draining, and she’s never taken the time out to enjoy her success. “I need a break from everything to just enjoy what I worked so hard for, and I don’t really feel like I’ve had a chance to do that,” she told Seventeen.
Azalea stated that she doesn’t have any regrets by canceling her tour. The rapper said she would have regretted going on tour because she’s in a new mindset, and she wants her fans to experience the “new” Iggy Azalea, which includes her more creative and visionary side. The rapper’s song “Pretty Girls” with Britney Spears is Number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has also reached the top of the singles chart in Belgium.
