Iggy Azalea to Rerelease ‘The New Classic’

Iggy Azalea released her debut, The New Classic, on April 21st, just as her now triple-platinum smash,“Fancy,” took off. Iggy was no newcomer, as she had previously released singles “Work,” “Bounce,” and “Change Your Life,” though none of the three had major mainstream success. Despite the lack of success from her previous singles, The New Classic sold over 50,000 copies in its first week and hit number 3 on the Billboard 200 along with hitting number 1 on both Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album and Top Hip Hop Album charts. Now six months after her debut release, Iggy tweeted that the album would be rereleased and titled, The New Classic: Reclassified. The artwork is similar to that of the original, just with a different angle of Iggy.

Iggy’s Clueless-inspired video has garnered over 300 million views, and she recently followed up with another smash, “Black Widow” featuring Rita Ora. “Black Widow” has spent 15 weeks on the Hot 100peaking at number 3.
