The Black Keys have cancelled the European portion of their tour. As reported, drummer Patrick Carney dislocated his shoulder when he was crashed into by a huge wave and crushed into the ocean floor while in St. Barths earlier this month. The Black Keys released a statement apologizing to their fans about canceling their tour, and in the statement they added that Patrick needed time to heal. “We thank all of our fans for their support, and we’re looking forward to getting back on the road.” Carney, however, is expected to make a full recovery. The canceled world tour, Turn Blue, had seventeen dates planned, and was supposed to conclude in March. The tour was scheduled to begin February 16 in Zurich, Switzerland and end on March 10 in Paris. The band’s website released the following statement in regards to rescheduling the canceled tour dates, “Due to prior scheduled commitments and venue availability, efforts to reschedule the original dates were unsuccessful.” Tickets will be refunded in full at their point of purchase, and the tour is set to resume on April 6 in Brisbane, Australia.
