Jack Antonoff’s Series to Debut on Google Play

Jack Antonoff‘s docu-series will debut on Google Play for free on June 16th. The series entitled Thank You and Sorry will chronicle Antonoff’s touring with his Bleachers band. “Making records and being on tour constantly feels like a strange blend between real life and a production of your life the way you imagined it,” Antonoff stated. The rocker added, “When we shot [Thank You and Sorry], we would script elements of real situations and the entire process started to become blurry as to what did and didn’t actually happen- strange times.”

This summer, Antonoff is hitting the road with Charli XCX for Charli and Jack Do America. The tour will begin in San Diego, California on July 21st. The Charli and Jack Do America tour will also travel to Costa Mesa, California on July 22nd; Oakland, California on July 23rd; Seattle, Washington on July 25th; Troutdale, Oregon on July 26th; Salt Lake City, Utah on July 28th; Denver, Colorado on July 29th; Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 4th; Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 5th; Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 7th; Kansas City, Missouri on August 8th; St. Louis, Missouri on August 9th; Detroit, Michigan on August 11th; and Columbus, Ohio on August 12th. BORNS will be the opening act for the summer tour. “What’s cool about a co-headlining tour is it’s two big shows. Every other tour I’ve done, you get the first of three, the second opener and then here comes the big show and the lights go out. This is like a little festival,” Antonoff recently said.

As the lead guitarist of the band Fun., Antonoff has dropped two albums including Aim and Ignite and Some Nights. Some Nights was released three years ago, and it features the singles “We Are Young,” “Some Nights,” “Carry On,” and “Why Am I the One.” The single “We Are Young” spent six weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it won a Grammy for Song of the Year. That same year, Fun. won a Grammy for Best New Artist.

Antonoff’s other band, Bleachers, have dropped one studio album entitled Strange Desire (2014). The project reached Number 2 on two US albums charts including the Top Rock Albums and the Top Alternative Albums chart. It also peaked at Number 11 on the Billboard 200, and Number 19 on the Canadian Albums chart. “I Wanna Get Better,” “Shadow,” “Rollercoaster,” and “Like a River Runs” were all released as singles from Strange Desire. “I Wanna Get Better” and “Rollercoaster” both topped the US Alternative Songs chart. Bleachers dropped theirLike A River Runs EP on June 2nd. The 4-track project consists of three versions of the song “Like A River Runs,” which includes a reworked rendition, a version with Sia, and a live version. The fourth song on the project is entitled “Dreams Aren’t Random.”
