Janet Jackson will launch her Unbreakable World Tour in August, becoming her first tour since 2011. The 36-date run is in support of her upcoming album, which will be distributed through the icon’s Rhythm Nation record label. Tickets for the tour can be purchased on Janet Jackson’s website on June 22nd, and American Express card members can purchase tickets early on June 15th through the 19th. “American Express is thrilled to partner with an iconic artist like Janet Jackson on the Unbreakable World Tour and bring our card members an opportunity to purchase tickets before the general on-sale date,” Walter Frye, VP of American Express Entertainment, stated. The Velvet Rope was included on Rolling Stone magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.
Jackson has not released an album in seven years, her last project Discipline was dropped in 2008.
