Janet Jackson’s New Single Debuts on R&B Charts

Janet Jackson‘s new single “No Sleep” entered the Adult R&B Songs chart at Number 15. This is the pop icon’s first debut on the charts since 2010 with her “Nothing” song. “No Sleep” is Jackson’s 27th song to impact the Adult R&B Songs chart. The single is also Number 27 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, becoming her 36th song on the chart. “No Sleep” was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who has worked with the icon on numerous projects including Control, Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814, janet., The Velvet Rope, All for You, Damita Jo, and 20 Y.O. The super producers will also contribute to Jackson’s new album, which is scheduled to be released this fall. The legend was just honored with the Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award at the BET Awards show on Sunday night. Ciara, Jason Derulo, and Tinashe paid tribute to the icon by performing some of her signature dance moves.

Jackson will embark on 36-date tour this summer. The trek entitled the Unbreakable World Tour will launch on August 31st in Vancouver, BC.
