Jason Derulo has quickly risen to fame and is currently one of the most-watched musicians in the industry. The 26-year-old singer may be young, but he shows great promise. Number Fifteen: His Full Name Is Not Jason Derulo. In fact, Derulo’s full name is Jason Joel Desrouleaux. The pronunciation is similar, but the spelling is quite different!
Number Fourteen: He Began Writing Songs When He Was 16. And he was really good at it from the very beginning. Derulo was writing songs for artists such as Lil Wayne and Sean Kingston before he even got out of high school.
Number Thirteen: His First Single Was a Huge Hit. Derulo’s very first single was “Whatcha Say,” which he released in 2009. Since his debut single, Derulo has exploded onto the scene and is highly respected for his talents.
Number Twelve: He Opened for Lady Gaga. This guy clearly has talent because he opened for none other than Lady Gaga on her Monster Ball tour in 2010.
Number Eleven: He Fractured His Neck. No, even really famous and talented people aren’t immune to setbacks. Derulo seriously injured his neck in 2012, and he was even forced to cancel his Future History tour as a result. He injured his neck from work he did in rehearsals.
Number Ten: He Has a Recording Studio in His House. Why record songs at a remote studio when you can just stroll into your own studio in the comfort of your own pajamas? Derulo has a recording studio in his home, and he records many of his own songs there.
Number Nine: He Was on a Plane With Kanye. Before Derulo hit it big in his own right, he was on the same plane as Kanye West and wanted to get his autograph.
