Jessica Simpson: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Jessica Simpson, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the singer and musician that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: She Is Incredibly Nurturing. Simpson is the godmother of one of her friend’s sons. She reportedly cared so much about being at the birth that she wore booties over six-inch platforms and even gave her godson his first bath.

Number Seven: She Has a Good Heart. According to country singer and songwriter Loretta Lynn, Simpson is not judgmental of anybody, no matter the circumstances. Lynn said, “I don’t think [Simpson] could ever do anybody wrong, I really don’t.”

Number Six: She Doesn’t Smoke Pot. Not in public, anyway. The director of The Dukes of Hazzard tried to get Simpson to smoke in public, and she refused. She reportedly refused to smoke pot in private as well.

Number Five: She Shared a Room With Her Sister Until She Was 11. Simpson and her sister Ashlee slept next to each other until Jessica was 11 or 12 years old. According to Ashlee, sleeping next to each other was very comfortable for them.

Number Four: She Played Saxophone. Simpson played the saxophone for three years while she was in school. She would reportedly play songs at home while her sister, Ashlee, would dance.

Number Three: She Was Afraid of Baths. When Simpson was small, she was afraid to get in the bathtub because she was convinced that a shark would come and eat her. Hopefully, that fear has passed since then.

Number Two: She Puts in Great Lengths to Avoid the Paparazzi. Simpson was on her way to Eva Longoria’s house for dinner when she became concerned about attracting paparazzi. In an effort to avoid them, she jumped into the trunk of the car. However, they still followed her to Longoria’s, despite the fact that she was in the trunk.

Number One: She Does Not Wash Her Hair Very Often. According to Simpson’s stylist, she only washes her hair a few times a month. Her stylist says that her hair stays healthier that way.
