Number Eight: Officer Byrd Can Be Funny. Though Officer Byrd can come off as intimidating on the show, he has a great sense of humor. One time, he even put on Judy’s robe and glasses and did an impression of her.
Number Seven: She Has Presided Over Celebrities. Judy has overseen cases of several celebrities, including actress Roz Kelly and the Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten.
Number Six: She Didn’t Want the Show Named After Her. Originally, Judy wanted her show to be called Hot Bench, but producers shot that down. She agreed to Judge Judy after she realized that a show with a name like that would have an extremely hard time replacing her should they want to fire her.
Number Five: She Got Her Humor From Her Father. Judy’s father was a dentist, and he had his office at home, so Judy got to watch him work while she was growing up. She would often see him making his patients laugh, and she partially learned her sense of humor from him.
Number Four: She Proposed to Her Husband. Judy admitted that she proposed to her husband Jerry after she confronted him with a calendar. The two got married in 1978 and have five children together.
Number Three: She Loves Egg McMuffins. Judy has been eating Egg McMuffins for breakfast since she was a family court judge in the 1990s. Even today, she still enjoys Egg McMuffins.
Number Two: She Plays Gin Rummy. Judy reportedly plays gin rummy in her dressing room in Hollywood so she can stay as alert as possible. However, she’s not one to let anybody win – even her grandchildren.
Number One: Her Net Worth Is $47 Million. In fact, in 2013, Judy was named the highest-paid television star. She earns approximately $900,000 for every day she works.
