Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, and Amanda Seyfried were some of the celebrities who attended the Givenchy fashion show in Paris. The West family and Perry, wore all-black Givenchy attire at the event. “Black is always elegant. It is the most complete color in the world,” stated Givenchy’s designer Riccardo Tisci.
Also during his stay at Paris Fashion Week, West premiered his music video for “All Day.” The music video premiered at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, which is where the rapper is holding his residency for fashion week. The “All Day” music video was directed by Steve McQueen, who also directed the 12 Years a Slave film. The rapper confirmed to Rolling Stone magazine that McQueen shot the visuals for the music video a few days ago.
Madonna is currently promoting her Rebel Heart album, which was just released on March 6th. During an interview with the New York Daily News, the pop singer stated that “Kanye is the black Madonna.” Madonna said she and West don’t shy away from saying what’s on their mind. “We know and recognize that we have that in common. We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre,” the pop singer told the New York Daily News. Madonna acknowledged that being so outspoken does come with consequences, and she isn’t always able to “shake off” other people’s criticism. “I’m only human. I’d like to get to the point where nothing can shake me. Sometimes I’m there, and sometimes I’m not,” Madonna told the publication.
The pop singer stated that over the years, she has gotten used to the criticism. Although, she wishes women were more supportive towards her. “People have always judged me, and give me shit about one thing or another. Now they’re giving me shit about age,” the 56 year old icon said. Madonna continued, “It’s bullshit, and mostly I hear it from women. I feel I should be hearing support like, ‘good for you.'” In true pop star goddess fashion, Madonna doesn’t let the hate hold her down for too long. “I earned my stripes. Bitch, I’m Madonna,” the pop star stated. Madonna has a lot to be proud of, including the recent indictment of the person who leaked her Rebel Heart album online. The pop singer will embark on her Rebel Heart worldwide tour in Miami, FL on August 29th.
