Kanye West‘s “Only One” featuring Paul McCartney, debuts at Number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The song is a tribute to the rapper’s late mother, Donda West. “Only One” is Number 10 on the Digital Songs charts, after selling 125,000 copies. There have been reports that West may be done with his seventh solo album. According to media outlets, “Kanye stopped by Def Jam headquarters in New York City yesterday (January 8th) to play some new music off the album.”
West fans are also wondering if he will be going on tour in 2015. Back in December, news of a Kanye West tour was leaked by Rihanna‘s upcoming charity auction. On the charity’s webpage, there was a listing for a package called The Kanye West Tour Experience. The details of the tour read, “Be Kanye West’s special front row VIP guest for his upcoming North American 2015 tour. Experience a rare opportunity meet & greet with the icon.” West has neither confirmed nor denied he is going on tour in 2015.
Consumers are also anticipating the release of West’s Yeezi sneakers. There has been a lot of speculation on when the sneakers will drop. The last date was a suspected December 2014 release, but that date has obviously past. In November, an image of the possible Yeezi shoe had consumers in a frenzy. Adidas did not state whether or not the image was actually the West shoe. Rapper Big Sean is one of the few people who has seen the Yeezi sneaker, although he wouldn’t confirm if the leaked image was authentic, “I haven’t actually seen the image but I have seen the new shoe. I can’t say much about it other than it’s definitely better than the last one and more improved, just like everything else Kanye does.”
Hip hop recording artist, Theophilus London, has also seen and worn the infamous sneakers. London went on social media and issued the following statement, “Don’t mean to stunt on U (sic) but I was rocking the new Yeezi 3 sample sneakers for addidas (sic) for a good 40 mins…” London also said the shoes are “the future of sneakers.” 2015 is already shaping up to be a very busy year for Kanye West.
