Kate Moss: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 2)

We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Kate Moss, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the iconic model and public figure that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: She Supported Her Sister Leaving School to Model. In fact, Moss told her 16-year-old (at the time) sister that leaving school to pursue a career in modeling was a good idea. Moss’ sister is named Lottie Moss.

Number Seven: There’s a Reason She Rarely Does Interviews. According to her, Moss worries about interviews so much before the interview that it isn’t worth it for her to do them very often. Moss says she will only do interviews if she really likes and supports the person or project.

Number Six: She Thinks She Has “Bow Legs.” Moss claims that the reason she doesn’t like to be seen in mid-calf-length clothing is because she has “bow legs.”

Number Five: She Did Her First Vogue Cover When She Was 19. Moss was just 19 years old when she graced the cover of British Vogue. She was one of the youngest models ever to cover British Vogue.

Number Four: She Was Bored by Modeling. Moss earned a reputation as a serious party girl at the beginning of her career. However, she later said in an interview that the reason she did so much partying was because modeling bored her at the time. She admitted that doing drugs and drinking was the only real way she could cope with her boredom.

Number Three: She Retired in 2000. Moss reportedly called her agency in 2000 and told them she was quitting. She quit because she thought she hated it at the time. However, Moss returned to modeling just a few short months later.

Number Two: She Was McQueen’s Muse. Moss was lucky enough to be the muse of Alexander McQueen for nearly a decade.

Number One: She Won’t Get Out of Bed for Less Than $10,000. For Moss, anything less than $10,000 is chump change, so don’t think you’ll snag her for a job unless you’re offering the big bucks.
