Number Eight: He Is a Really Good Photographer. In 2014, Rogers’ work as a photographer was honored by the Professional Photographers of America, who gave him an honorary master of photography degree. Rogers loves photography, and he has even published books of his own photos.
Number Seven: His Wife’s Parents Are Younger Than He Is. This might sound insane, but it’s true! Rogers has been married five times, and his most recent wife, Wanda, is 28 years younger than he is. Wanda’s parents are actually two years younger than Rogers.
Number Six: He Is an Entrepreneur. We’ve already mentioned Rogers’ photography skills, but he can also talk business! In 1991, Rogers opened Kenny Rogers Roasters, which was a chain that served primarily home-style chicken. He eventually sold it to Nathan’s Famous, Inc., seven years later.
Number Five: He Is a Fan of Prince. Rogers admitted in a 2004 interview that he would love to see Prince in concert. He is also a fan of Garth Brooks. Brooks opened for Rogers when he first started his career.
Number Four: He Works Hard on His Hair. When asked how he keeps his hair so perfect all the time, Rogers says he’s been blessed. Although he might spend some time fixing his hair in the morning, he says that his hair has remained relatively thick through the years.
Number Three: He Is Best Friends With His Bandmates. Rogers admitted in an interview that his bandmates are some of his closest friends, especially because he’s spent so much time with them.
Number Two: He Has a Mantra. Rogers has said that he coined the phrase, “Success is no reason to quit,” and he truly believes it. Thankfully for us, Rogers continues to perform despite his wild success!
Number One: He Has Been Active for More Than 50 Years. Rogers has been involved in the music industry since 1958, which means he has been active for an impressive 57 years! Keep on rocking, Kenny!
