Number Fifteen: She Is an Abstract Thinker. Del Rey has admitted that, when describing what she wanted for Ultraviolence to producer Dan Auerbach, she was extremely abstract. She described things in colors, and she said she wanted the album to be “blue fire,” and she wanted it to be in the key of “blue.”
Number Fourteen: She Needs Romantic Intensity. Del Rey has said that she doesn’t like traditional relationships because her creative nature thrives on instability. She says that she needs “high-impact events…or big adventures, or big fallouts” to “keep going.”
Number Thirteen: She Is Into Older Men. Del Rey says that the kind of person she appreciates romantically is “strong” and “self-assured,” and she says that she has not been able to find someone she is romantically interested in younger than 30. She is truly searching for her equal.
Number Twelve: She Was Part of the Same Downtown Scene as Lady Gaga. But they never met! Gaga’s manager, Bob Leone, was connected to Del Rey and was her confidante.
Number Eleven: She Is Not Averse to Happiness. Del Rey has a reputation of being needlessly sad and morose, but she says she is not always like that. She says, “I’m happy when things are just kind of calm. I love going to the ocean. I love driving. I love going to shows. Just being with people I really have fun with.”
Number Ten: She Is a Fan of Bruce Springsteen. And her favorite Springsteen song is, “I’m on Fire.”
Number Nine: She Wants Marriage and Kids. Del Rey admitted in an interview with Rolling Stone that she would one day like to get married and have children.
