Fans at a recent Lana Del Rey show were rewarded with wonderful news regarding the pop singer’s upcoming album entitled Honeymoon. During her show, Del Rey revealed Honeymoon will be released in September, which will mark the singer’s fourth studio album. Her other projects include Lana Del Ray (released before she changed the spelling of “Ray” to “Rey”), Born to Die, and Ultraviolence.
Del Rey’s sophomore album, Born to Die, was dropped three years ago. The project entered the Billboard 200 Albums chart at Number 2, and Born to Die went to Number 1 on the Top Alternative Albums, US Digital Albums, and Top Rock Albums chart. It also went to the top of the charts in Australia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, and the UK. The number one album has sold over seven million copies, and it was led by the singles “Video Games,” “Born to Die,” “Blue Jeans,” “Summertime,” “National Anthem,” and “Dark Paradise.”
The singer’s latest album entitled Ultraviolence was released last year. It entered the Billboard 200 at Number 1, after selling over 182,000 copies in its debut week. The project featured production by Greg Kurstin (Sia), Paul Epworth (Adele), and Rick Nowels (Madonna). Five singles were released from the album including “West Coast,” “Shades of Cool,” “Ultraviolence,” “Brooklyn Baby,” and “Black Beauty.” The lead single “West Coast” peaked at Number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it reached Number 26 on the US Rock Airplay chart.
Earlier this month, Del Rey embarked on her Endless Summer Tour. The tour features Courtney Love and Grimes, who are both opening acts for Endless Summer. The first part of the tour, which featured Courtney Love, concluded last night in Washington. The second half of Endless Summer (featuring Grimes) will launch on May 28th in Noblesville, Indiana. The remaining dates include a stop in Tinley Park, Illinois on May 30th; Clarkston, Michigan on May 31st; Toronto, Ontario on June 3rd; Montreal, Quebec on June 4th; Mansfield, Massachusetts on June 9th; Bristow, Virginia on June 11th; Charlotte, North Carolina on June 13th; Atlanta, Georgia on June 14th; and West Palm Beach, Florida on June 16th.
