14 Life Hacks for the Lazy Genius (Part 1)

Life hacks are one of the best ways to live efficiently without compromising who you are as a person. These 14 life hacks we’re about to the present are some of the most ingenious ways to live more easily without any extra effort. Don’t believe us? Check them out for yourself below, and stay tuned for part two!

Number Fourteen: Dunk Oreos Without the Mess.

Instead of making a milky, drippy mess while dunking your Oreos, slide a fork between the cookies and into the icing. Then hold the fork, and dip away. No mess!

Number Thirteen: Find Tiny Bits Without any Trouble. Instead of breaking out a magnifying glass or spending hours looking for that button you lost, try attaching a pair of stockings or a sock to the bottom of a vacuum. As you vacuum, periodically check the stockings to see if something clings to it!

Number Twelve: Eat Popsicles Without the Drip. Instead of worrying that your hands and arms will soon be covered in cold, sugary juice, just poke the bottom stick of your popsicle through a cupcake paper. The paper will hold any juices that drip, and you will optimize your eating experience. Just brush off any weird looks you get from passersby – they just don’t understand.

Number Eleven: Use Coins on Candy.

No, we don’t mean putting coins into a candy machine – instead of spending what feels like hours opening the plastic on a candy bar, just surround the plastic with two coins, and rub them together. The friction will tear the plastic much more easily than your hands can.

Number Ten: Sleep Better With a Scarf. Having trouble falling asleep on a long flight without any neck support? Try tying a scarf around the back of your headrest, and use the front of the scarf as a blindfold. Not only will you be able to lean into the scarf, but you’ll also get some good rest at the same time.

Number Nine: Paper Clip Your Cables. Instead of letting all your cords (headphones, chargers, you get the idea) become a tangled mess on your desk, attach them to paper clips! The paper clips will keep your cords separate without holding them down too tightly.

Number Eight: No Nutella Left Behind.

Instead of throwing away that almost-but-not-quite-empty jar of Nutella, throw in a heaping scoop of your favorite ice cream, and mix the two together! You’ll get those last bits of Nutella and enjoy a delicious treat at the same time.
