Lightning in a Bottle Festival Lineup Revealed

Lightning in a Bottle music festival just announced its 2015 artist lineup. Flume, RL Grime, SBTRKT, and ODESZA will headline the event, which will feature over seventy acts. Some of those acts include Tycho, Panda Bear, John Digweed, Thomas Jack, Lucent Dossier Experience, The Opiuo Band, and AlunaGeorge. Lightning in a Bottle will take place in Bradley, California on May 21st through May 25th. The unique music festival also features yoga classes, workshops, and motivational speakers. Lightning in a Bottle is the only US music festival to win the Outstanding Award from A Greener Festival for three years in row.

One of the festival’s headliners, ODESZA, is on pace for another very successful year. Besides performing at the Lightning music festival in May, they will also make appearances at Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, and the Hangout music festivals this year. The Sasquatch Festival is from May 22nd through May 25th, which coincides with the Lightning festival dates. As if their schedule couldn’t get anymore hectic, ODESZA will begin their In Return Tour 2015 this month. The duo’s tour will begin on February 12th in Spokane (Washington), and it will conclude on March 13th in Nashville (Tennessee). The duo is no stranger to excessive touring; they started this relentless touring regiment in 2013.

One half of the duo, Harrison Mills, spoke to Acclaim magazine about making sure ODESZA’s music doesn’t suffer because of their constant touring. “I feel like the only pressure I feel is that we tour so much and we’re on the road so much that I don’t want the music to ever suffer,” Mills told Acclaim magazine. He continued, “I think time is more of an issue than worrying about the direction of the music because I think that me and Clay always try to listen to a lot of different stuff.” ODESZA is arguably one of the surprise breakout acts of last year. The success of their remix version of Pretty Light’s “Lost and Found” single, allowed them to venture out on their first European tour. The song was also featured on the Divergent film soundtrack. ODESZA’s In Return album reached the Number 1 position on Billboard’s Electronic charts, and made an impressive Number 42 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. The album also amassed millions of streams on Spotify and Soundcloud.
