The final day at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was simply spectacular. The performances were unforgettable, and the artists really put their best foot forward in order to give the audience a show for the ages. The last day featured performances from AWOLNATION, Rudimental, Spoon, Florence + the Machine, Shakey Graves, Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters, MO, Billy Joel, Twenty One Pilots, and more.
The Top Five Performers from Sunday include:
Number Five: Shakey Graves. He had the tough task of being the first performer on Sunday, but his energy helped wake up the entire audience at Bonnaroo. Graves and his guitar commanded everyone’s attention, and he played songs from his current project Nobody’s Fool. Some of those records include “Nobody’s Fool,” “Pay the Road,” and “Seeing All Red.”
Number Four: Spoon gave a powerful performance at Bonnaroo on the What Stage. The band made sure to make their presence felt, and they rocked out to “They Want My Soul,” “Inside Out,” “Knock Knock Knock,” and “I Just Don’t Understand.” Spoon played their set as if it were their last, and the audience enjoyed every minute of it.
Number Three: MØ. The chemistry between MØ and the community at Bonnaroo was simply magical. Performing on The Other Tent stage, MØ kicked ass with every note she sang. “Don’t Wanna Dance,” “Glass,” and “Say You’ll Be There” blasted through the speakers, and MØ made her claim that she is a force to be reckoned with in electronic music.
Number Two: Billy Joel. The man. The legend. The voice. Billy Joel was the last performance of the night, and he closed the 2015 Bonarroo festival like the icon that he is. His set was over two hours, and to be quite honest- no one would have complained if he played all night. As if watching Joel’s performance wasn’t enough, the icon brought out AC/DC! The legends rocked out to “Highway to Hell,” and the audience of 80,000 roared, screamed, cheered- in other words, people went insane! Joel put his exclamation mark on the festival, and we are glad we were there to witness it.
Number One: Florence + the Machine. Yes! Even though Joel was great, Florence put on one hell of a show. The performance was extremely emotional, cute, and powerful. People were crying, smiling, singing- all the emotions wrapped into one. Florence ruled the stage, and the atmosphere was euphoric. Florence makes beautiful music, and she delivered a performance of a lifetime. “What Kind of Man,” “Ship to Wreck,” and “You’ve Got The Love,” sent the entire audience into another galaxy.
