LMFAO formed in LA in 2006, and comprises of Sky Blu and Redfoo. Their genre could be defined as electro hiphop, and they have a few songs that everyone knows about. Here is a list of facts you didn’t know about them.

Number Fifteen: From the Americas to Brazil

The song Party Rock Anthem was a huge hit not just in America, but in Canada, New Zealand, and European countries such as Germany and Denmark. After the song gained huge success, LMFAO decided to take a long hiatus.

Number Fourteen: Motown Roots

These two came from an impressive musical legacy. Sky Blu is the son of Berry Gordy’s oldest son, and Redfoo is Berry Gordy’s youngest son.

Number Thirteen: LMFAO Members Were Often Drunk Onstage

Although they say they’ve done shows sober, they also feel that you should deliver the type of vibe you’re trying bring. The vibe they try to bring is partying, so it only seems appropriate.

Number Twelve: Sky Blu Performed With Serious Injuries

He had three herniated discs in his back, and got called to do the Super Bowl. For this reason, he didn’t partake in any of the full rehearsals, and had to immediately have his back worked on after his performance.

Number Eleven: Their Lyrics are Inspired by Stand-Up

Redfoo was doing a lot of stand up comedy before he formed LMFAO. The two would write funny punchlines and incorporate them into the hip hop lyrics.

Number Ten: Guetta Made Them Famous

If you’re observant, you might have noticed a video clip in David Guetta’s song Gettin Over You that features the duo. This song hit the number one spot in the UK charts and apparently, is what made them so famous and jump started their careers.

Number Nine: Quite Popular in Canada
